Robert Edward Schneider, 82, the son of Charles and Mable (Brassall) Schneider, was born on May 23, 1937 in Springfield, Mo. He died Jan. 14, 2020 at the Superior Good Samaritan Center.

Robert was a high school graduate and Marines veteran. Growing up, he resided for a time at Boys Town and also in Boonville, Missouri school for boys. He lived in Missouri, Nebraska City and Nelson for 15 years before making Superior his home the past four years. He was previously employed at the Superior Post Office as a janitor. He was married to Elaine Berger in October of 1987 at Tecumseh.

Robert enjoyed western movies and heading to the casinos with his wife to play the slot machines. He enjoyed time with his family and friends and later Aseracare Hospice family who cared for him in which he was so grateful.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Elaine.

Survivors include Patricia, former wife and mother of their sons, Jason and wife, Michelle, and Justin, all of McAllen, Texas; his brother, Chuck of Lincoln, Neb .; and nephews, Rodney Watts and Lloyd Watts, both of Superior; other relatives and a host of friends.

A private family funeral will take place at a later date with burial at Lincoln Memorial in Lincoln, Neb.
