Lawrence-Nelson Middle School held its quiz bowl contest last Wednesday at Nelson.
Lawrence-Nelson finished first and Superior second after playing all teams involved in the meet. Then the two teams met each other in the championship round.
Other schools competing in the meet were Hampton, Red Cloud, Silver Lake, and Blue Hill. Hampton received 3rd, Red Cloud 4th, Silver Lake 5th, and Blue Hill 6th place.
The Lawrence-Nelson Quiz Bowl coach is Decker Brown.
The junior high team will next compete at the ESU 9 meet in Hastings at 9 a.m. on Feb. 6.
