What fun to happen upon a cattle drive on a windy and sunny afternoon. A rider on a horse, a 4-wheeler and another 4-wheeled vehicle kept them moving. Being cattle, there were always a few straying into a field or into a patch of trees. One of the three herders would whirl off to  force the strays back on the road.

It was amazing how quickly the fat black cattle moved down the road and yet not running; their focus was on a truck, apparently with feed aboard, to entice the critters to follow.

Unlike the western movies, there was no shouting, no hollering, The cattle walked along as if o...
