The Kansas Department of Transportation hasbegun a mill and overlay project on U.S. 81, beginning at the Cloud-Ottawa county line and continuing north for approximately three miles.

Traffic is reduced to one 12-foot lane with a reduced speed through the work zone. Drivers should expect minor delays, not exceeding five minutes.

APAC Inc. of Hutchinson is the prime contractor and has scheduled this project to be completed in May, weather permitting, at a cost of $735,000.
