Mankato's pool may or may not open this summer

 


The Mankato City Council knows the weather will be warm this summer. However, it is believed to be necessary to close the pool part of or the entire summer to accomplish maintenance and ensure the public is safe.

Covid-19 has put a damper on many activities. The city council acknowledges the public has been restricted for the past few months and needs recreational opportunities. If feasible, the council will open the pool depending on the Covid-19 status and the maintenance status. Much of the maintenance is replacing doors, repairing concrete and painting.
