Dean E. “Bubby” Fullerton, 68, of Mankato, died Wednesday, May 20, at the Republic County Hospital. He was born on May 6, 1952, in Concordia, to William and Ruby (Hancock) Fullerton.

Dean was a graduate of Mankato High School Class of 1970. He then entered the National Guard from 1970 to 1975. He later worked at Thompson Oil Company where he was a local fuel truck driver until his retirement.

Dean was a member of the DAV – Disabled American Veterans.  

In his younger years, Dean enjoyed touring different historical sights and being outdoors and camping.

He is survived by his two brothers, Roy Fullerton (Joyce), Superior; Dave Fullerton, Mankato and six sisters, Phyllis Olmstead, Emporia; Norma Eitzmann, Superior; Yvonne Blair, Superior; Joyce McElroy, Ulysses; Claudine Fullerton, Superior; and Brenda Mosier, Hugoton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ruby; brothers, LaVern and Donald; sisters, Bernice and Neva; four infant brothers and one infant sister.

Graveside service for Dean will be held at a later date at Pleasant View Cemetery in Montrose.
