Gary Luben

 

Gary Lynn Luben, 75, the son of Merlin and Muriel (Fraka) Luben, was born May 4, 1945, in O’Neill, Neb. He died June 2, at the Holmes Lake Rehabilitation Care Center at Lincoln, Neb.

Gary was an Army veteran. He was a heavy equipment operator working construction. His hobbies included racing, softball and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Merlin and Muriel.

Survivors include his children, Cale (Nicole) Luben of Laurel, Mont .; James (Beverly) Luben of Fairview, Mont .; April (Justin) Bentz of Glasco, Kan .; and Cody (Bonnie) Luben of Oak; 13 grandchildren; sister, LeeAnn Schutte of Hastings; and brother, Dean (Cindy) Luben of Oak; other relatives and a host of friends.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 13, at the Oak Grove Cemetery near Oak with Pastor Kevin Bogus officiating.

Recorded music selections are “Humble and Kind,” “I Did It My Way,” and “Simple Man.”

Pallbearers will be Cale Luben, James Luben, Cody Luben and Justin Bentz.

Visitation will be held Friday from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior.

Interment with military honors will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
