KDOT plans to seal cracks in Jewell Co. highways, add signs

 


The Kansas Department of Transportation has approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects in Jewell and nearby counties.

Mission Construction Co. of St. Paul, Kan., received a contract valued at $119,367.64 for signage to be installed on major collector roads of U.S. 36 and west of K-14. The contract covers 100 mioes of roads.

The same company received a contract valued at $60,960.84 for repairing cracks on the 15.2 miles of Highway 14 between the Nebraska stateline and Highway 36. The cracks in Highway 36 from the Jewell County line east to near Highway 81, will be repaired for $64,725.

Pavement Pros will be paid $148,385 to repair cracks on K-128 between the U.S. 24 junction and the Nebraska stateline.
