President Kenny Mizner called the special meeting of the Board of Education for USD No. 107 to order on June 18. Those present were Kenny Mizner, Brenden Wirth, Marc Grout, Brandon Hollerich, Lori Yelken, Lori Slate, Sam Meyers, Kari Kephart (Video), Rex Boley and Janet Higer.

The first reading of the handbooks was held.

The board approved a summer contract for Jaid Runft, high school secretary, allowing her to work periodically this summer for training purposes.

The 2020 Summer Driver’s Edcontract was passed.

Meyers reported on ongoing and potential summer projects.

It was approved to authorize the superintendent and board clerk to make the necessary transfers to close out the current fiscal year ending June 30, 2020.

A motion to offer a contract to Chris Rhea for the junior-senior science position for the 2020-2021 school year passed.

David Scott Young was hired as a bus driver.

The meeting adjourned at 9:31 a.m.

The next regular meeting of the USD No. 107 Board of Education will be at 7 p.m.Monday, July 13, in the Board Room of the District Office at 109 E. Main Street, Mankato.
