Chester CarFest a Success

 

Saturday should have been Chester's annual Chesterfest, but because of continuing concerns about the ongoing pandemic, the event was cancelled. In its place, the Chester Community Club organized activities which could be held within the state's COVID-19 regulations. CarFest started with a road rally, which hosted about 30 teams who covered one of two planned routes.

Saturday was the date for Chester's annual Chesterfest, but because of the concerns about the ongoing pandemic, the event was cancelled. In its place, the Chester Community Club organized activities which could be held within the state's COVID-19 regulations.

CarFest started with a road rally, which hosted about 30 teams who covered one of two planned routes. The scheduled three hour rally lasted into the night with the last car returning at 9:45 p.m. Winners were: Route A, first, Darren Sudbeck and second, Calvin Katz; Route B, first, Josh Wit and second, Thad Mumm.
