Chester receives storm damage

 

Early Sunday morning at approximately 2 a.m, a small tornado tore through south Chester causing damage to buildings and trees along its path. No injuries were reported. Part of a grain bin ended up in a tree after Sunday morning's small tornado ripped through the south end of Chester.

Early Sunday morning at approximately 2 a.m., a strong wind tore through south Chester causing damage to buildings and trees along its path. No injuries were reported.

Several Chester residents thought the path of destruction resembled a tornado but the National Weather Service recorded it as a strong wind associated with a thunderstorm.
