Retirement party honors Ilene Eickmann at Manor

Residents at Superior Manor hosted a retirement party for Ilene Eickmann Thursday afternoon at the apartment activity room. She has been owner and manager of the Manor since the apartments were built. The Manor sold recently to New Horizons Healthy Lifestyles, LLC.

Thursday afternoon several of the residents at Superior Manor gathered to honor Eileen Eickmann on her retirement as manager and owner of the complex. Janet Harig and others served cake, ice cream, tea and coffee for the gathering. Residents presented Eileen with a balloon, flowers and door wreath.

Eileen and her husband, Keith, opened and operated the 23 unit manor in 1976. After her husband died, Eileen continued to manage the manor with the help of her daughter, Margo Williams. The manor, which is conveniently located in downtown Superior, was recently purchased by Sandra Tietjen who plans to manage it.

Eileen told the crowd of well-wishers she has enjoyed working with all of her tenants over the years. She plans to visit often. Residents told of Eileen's kind and caring manner as manager. The pets that reside at the manor will also miss Eileen. Residents said when their pets came in from outside, they went directly to Eileen's office where she provided them with a treat!
