Gene Alexander

Carroll Gene Alexander, 77, the son of Carroll and Harriet Bernice (Willett) Alexander, was born July 31, 1942, in Nelson. He died July 24, 2020, at his residence in Superior.

Gene attended school in Superior and was a Superior High School graduate. He received in bachelor of science degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. He was employed as a USDA meat inspector.

He served in the Kansas National Guard from January of 1964 to December of 1969. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Mary Lewis on July 17, 1998, in Tucson, Ariz. He was a member of the Superior Pleasure Cruisers, enjoyed hunting, fishing and street rods.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Barry.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; daughters, Denise (Les) Brown of Phoenix, Ariz .; Candi (Michael) Keegan of Peoria, Ariz .; and Dusty Bartee of Surprise, Ariz .; five grandchildren; and brothers, Edward (Mary) Alexander of Omaha; and Don Alexander of Mankato; other relatives and friends.

Per Gene’s wishes, he was cremated and no services are planned.

Memorials may go to the Superior Volunteer Fire Department or the American Brain Tumor Association.
