My Crazy Life

August 6, 2020

Have you ever been to the circus and seen a juggler at work? They usually begin with two or three items, all thrown into the air and caught one after another. After a while, they add another item to the fun. I have seen a juggler juggling probably 10 things at the same time, but when they tried to add that 11th item, all the balls fell at the juggler’s feet.

That’s how I feel lately, I’m dropping the ball a lot. I’ve got too many irons in the fire, and I am on the verge of collapse. My husband keeps telling me just to let go of some of the things I have going on, but I can’t. I have people counting on me to keep going, so I must. Honestly, though, I’m overwhelmed and can find no end in sight. I’m so ready for school to start. Many people are worried that when it does, our COVID-19 numbers will go up and school will have to close again. I don’t know what’s going to happen. I do know this seems to be something that is here to stay and we are going to have to learn to live with it. Unless some of those conspiracy theorists are correct, and it will all end after the election in November.

All we hear these days seems to be negative, and it is getting harder every day to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Maybe someone forgot to pay the electric bill or the bulb just burnt out. To mask or not to mask, human trafficking, dirty politicians and rioting in the streets. The new “Normal.” When did America become so tolerant? Folks used to have respect for others and the laws in this country. When did that go out of style? Violent crimes are going unpunished. Why have we taken away our law enforcement’s right to enforce the law? What a complete and total mess we in.

On a lighter note; my garden is actually producing this year. I have a ton of canning to get to. Sorry for the gloom and doom. I guess I just needed to get it off my chest. Here’s to better days! X’s & O’s.
