Brodstone Hospital employees donate record amount

Brodstone Memorial Hospital employees donated the equivalent of 8,950 pounds of food to the Nuckolls County Food Pantry this week as part of the Can-Care-A-Van Food Drive. Jon Albrecht (center), Pastor of the Living Faith Fellowship, assisted the food bank in collecting donations. Brodstone Memorial Hospital employees donated a record 8, 950 pounds to the Nuckolls County Food Pantry through the Can-Care-A-Van on Monday. A little friendly competition helps make donations swell. In the past years there were car races, baseball and football games. This last week it was a hockey game. Donations are tallied by the pound, a cash donation of one dollar equaling two pounds.

This year's winners were the "Mighty Ducks," a team coached by Jason Hamilton and team captain, Cody Fierstein. Team members included employees from the lab, maintenance and pharmacy department. In...
