August 20, 2020

A mother with young children, River Pavusa, a Superior resident, was hospitalized in Lincoln, Neb., following a one-vehicle accident that happened about 4 p.m. Friday. The vehicle’s only occupant was ejected as the vehicle left the Webber Road on the curve near the Frank Langer resident and overturned.

The driver was taken to Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior and then transferred to Lincoln. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

The Jewell County Sheriff’s office was assisted by the Nuckolls County Sheriff’s Office, Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, Superior Fire Department and Superior Rescue Squad.

On Sunday her mother, Diana Stenson, told Facebook friends, “River is in stable condition. She is strong and a fighter.”
