On Aug. 10, Jewell County Commissioners Mark Fleming, Steve Greene and Keith Roe met as the board of county canvassers, to canvass the ballots from the Aug. 4 primary election. Carla Waugh, Jewell County clerk and election officer, was also present.

Waugh reviewed the election night tabulation and the advance ballot count that was received after election night. She then reviewed the 28 provisional ballots and the reason for being provisional.
