Lawrence Bloodmobile receives 60 more units

August 27, 2020

The American Red Cross is constantly searching for blood donors. They made their latest visit to Lawrence last Friday and went home with sixty more units to help continue their live-saving work. In spite of having several possible donors refused, Lawrence village coordinators Jackie Kirchner and Maureen Menke expressed their appreciation to everyone who made the day a success.

Their greatest appreciation went to all the people who came to donate and then to all the people who helped make the day a success. They mentioned the American Legion for use of the building; the church bulletins and the Locomotive/ Gazette for publicity; Paul Dale and Lyle Kohmetscher for setting up tables and chairs and the clean up afterwards and to Carla Kohmetscher for all her help; Doris Hoelting and Marilyn Svoboda for taking temperatures at the door; the St. Stephen parish Altar Society for the lunch.

The next drive is scheduled for Dec. 18. Jackie and Maureen hope the success of this drive can be repeated for Christmas.
