Through fundraising efforts, the Lovewell Lake Association is sponsoring a fireworks display at Lovewell State Park Saturday starting at approximately 8:45 p.m., at the Cedar Point Boat Ramp area of the park. This is a location change from previous years. Should weather prevent the fireworks show, a rain date of Sunday, will most likely occur. Individual fireworks are still prohibited in all areas of the park, including the Twin Coves trailer area and the Lovewell Cabin area west of the state park.

The Lovewell Lake Association is also sponsoring a Classic Car Show at 4 p.m., at the Pioneer playground area, and live music featuring the band, South Wind Coalition, at the marina from 5 to 9 p.m., on Saturday.
