Ashlei Roesti is new Community Action coordinator

The retirement of Jana Chase, after more than 25 years of service, created an opportunity for a new community services coordinator at the Community Action Partnership of Mid-Nebraska office in Superior.

A candidate was hired but withdrew from the position after a few weeks, The job search was reopened and Ashlei Roesti has now been on the job for more than a month.

Roesti is a Superior native. She is a Superior High School graduate, She furthered her education at Central Community College at both the Hastings and Grand Island campuses. She was a home visitor for the Superior Head Start program for a year before accepting the coordinator position.

Roesti underwent training at Kearney and Hastings to prepare her for her duties.

The partnership provides services for low-income, elderly or disabled individuals in the community. The coordinator matches the programs best suited for the individual.

The partnership also houses the Nuckolls County Food Pantry. This volunteer organization provides nutrional support to individuals and families in need.

The office is open Monday to Friday. Because of COVID-19, individuals are advised to call the office and schedule an appointment.
