2020 ECCC Ladies Powder Puff Tournament

September 17, 2020

The 2nd annual Powder Puff Tournament at the Nelson Elk Creek Country Club was a go Sunday in spite of the challenges Corona Virus has presented this year. With COVID compliancy measures in place, nine teams attacked the course on what was a perfect September day.

After a day of fun and sun, the resulting championship and first flight winners had to be determined by tie breaking measures. Two teams were tied with low scores of 79, with the overall champions being Beth Himmelberg and Melanie Wilton. Three teams were tied at 88 with the resulting first flight winners being Jan Rempe and Sue Burge.

The success of any tournament is fully determined by the support of local businesses. This particular women’s format allows the opportunity to reach out in ways that are not possible in the typical mixed league tournaments. The tournament coordinators are grateful for the support from the surrounding community businesses.
