Patricia Ann Zabaldo was born to Sarah Suiter Gourley on Jan. 4,1950, in Hamilton, Ohio. She later was adopted and raised by Sam, and her maternal aunt, Mary Zabaldo.

She graduated from Rancho Alamitos High School in Garden Grove, Calif., with the Class of 1968. In 1969 while living in Riverside, Calif., she had her daughter, Tricia Marie, and in 1973 her son, John Anthony. While living in California, she was employed by Disneyland at the American Restaurant. In 1982 she had her last child, daughter, Tonia Lin, in Lincoln, Neb.

In 1983, she moved with her daughter, Tonia, to Mankato, and worked for Kennedy’s and in both cafes. This is also where she met John Dewey.

Pat had a passion for dream catchers, crystals and lived to read. Pat had an infectious personality that lit up a room. She enjoyed making people laugh and put a smile on their face.

She died Friday, Sept. 11, 2020, at Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit, at the age of 70 years, 9 months and 7 days.


Those left to treasure her memory are her significant other, John Dewey, of Mankato; children,Tricia Pavusa, of Ardmore, Tenn., John Pavusa, and girlfriend, Candace Butler, of Mankato, and Tonia Angley, and fiancé, Johnnie Goodwin, of Beloit; grandchildren, Taylor Jackson, River Pavusa, Caitlin Vanderpuyl, John Michael Pavusa, Floyd Pavusa, Gavin Bouska, Stevie Angley and Tobias Goodwin; and two great-granddaughters, Scarlett and Henley Krajnik.
