RHHS football falls to Lakeside

The Rock Hills football team held a 12-8 lead at the end of the first quarter. It was the last time they held the lead as Lakeside rolled up 44 unanswered points to swamp the Grizzlies 44-12. Lakeside put the game out of reach with a 22 point second quarter while Rock Hills failed to find the scoreboard.

Jerrod Gillett completed one of his three passes for 33 yards. Devion McDonald snagged the lone reception for 33 yards.

Mason Higer carried the ball 10 times for 50 yards. Gillett was the ball carrier eight times while picking up 93 yards. Mcdonald took the ball six times for 76 yards. Grant Meyers had four carries for 20 yards. Conner Cosand has two carries for five yards. Jacob Barry picked up six yards with his one carry.

Meyers nailed two solo tackles and four assisted tackles. Cosand and Higer turned in two solo tackles and two assisted tackles each. Buck Luedke and Kole Vance each made two solo tackles and had an assist. Caden Slate made two solo tackles. Gillett nailed a solo tackle and three assists. Barry, McDonald, l Sterling and Jacob Usita accounted for a solo tackle apiece. Ethan Kenworthy was in with two assisted tackles. Mason McMains had an assisted tackles.

The Grizzlies look to return to the win column when they travel to Axtell, Friday, for a game with the Eagles.
