Patricia “Patti” Ann Burkhart, 58, died Sept. 14, 2020, at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, Fla., after a long battle with pneumonia. She was born on Oct. 30, 1961 in Concordia, Kan., to Robert and Edith Love.

Patti grew up in Mankato and liked being on the farm. She enjoyed animals and tried to make a pet out of any animal she found. Patti graduated from Mankato High School in 1979.

She very much enjoyed waiting on customers at the many places she worked as a waitress, especially her years at the Buffalo Roam.

She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Burkhart-Mehmood (Farhat) of Pensacola, Fla., and Brandy Johnson (Jerod) of Utica, Neb .; and grandchildren, Sophia, Lane, Asher and Hayden.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Larry; sister, Nancy; her father and her mother.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, at the Christian Church in Mankato. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation is from 1 to 5 p.m., today, (Thursday) at Melby Mortuary with family greeting friends from 3 to 5 p.m.
