Even if a person keeps tracks of sports seasons and schedules, the end almost always seems to sneak up on a person.

As with the case of the L-N Lady Raider’s volleyball team, the end came suddenly this week Monday night. The girls played their opening game in the Class D2-7 Sub-District Tournament in Franklin and lost the game to Wilcox-Hildreth 1 set to 3.

The scores were: 10-25, 25-19, 18-25 and 21-25.

Individual statistics were not available by press time Tuesday but the girls were still without players Tori Miller and Emma Epley and other recovering from missing a couple of weeks of play....
