The Nebraska Liberty Coalition held a Trucks for Trump and Back the Blue rally in Hastings on Sunday. Hundreds of people turned out to cruise the streets of Hastings displaying the American flag and their support for President Trump.

The Trucks for Trump and Back the Blue Rally was held in Hastings on Sunday. Jeremy Thiel of Hastings planned the event, along with a few of his friends. A few months ago, Jeremy and his friends saw a need in the community to stand up for what they believe and help the community in whatever way they could. They formed a group called the Nebraska Liberty Coalition.

The "NLC" had a few hiccups while putting the rally together. Many people were against having such an event in Hastings, but the group kept at it until they found a suitable meeting place and formulated a plan. Venders came to sell flags, hats, stickers and face masks supporting President Trump. Hundreds of cars and trucks cruised Burlington Avenue Sunday. Most were in support of the president while others chose to show support to the candidate of their choice.

In the few months the group has been together, they have held a fundraiser to assist a family with medical expenses and have hosted a food drive. The group donated 300 pounds of food to the Catholic Social Services in Hastings to help families in need this winter.
