Brodstone responds to COVID surge

November 12, 2020

On Monday, Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts announced new Directed Health Measures (DHMs) that took effect statewide on Wednesday. The measures were implemented in response to rising hospitalizations across the state in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19.

“Locally we are starting to see an increase in cases. Please take this serious. As always, we stress the importance of everyone utilizing masking, social distancing and practicing proper hand hygiene. We are also encouraging all businesses to ask their patrons to wear masks while in their establishment in accordance with the new DHM. Please follow along on our website as well as South Heartland District Health Department’s website for ongoing updates in the coming weeks.” said Treg Vyzourek, CEO of Brodstone Memorial Hospital.

An outline of the DHM changes can be found on http://www.brodstonehospital.org. People experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 may call Superior Family Medical Center.

Brodstone is a TestNebraska facility and will continue testing on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays through the month of November. Go to https://www.testnebraska.com for a free online assessment to see if you are eligible for testing.
