Ervin Lunzmann

Ervin Cord Christoph Lunzmann, 92, the son of Gustav and Ella (Asche) Lunzmann, was born April 23, 1928, on a farm northwest of Byron. He died last Wednesday, at Parkview Haven Nursing Home in Deshler.

He went through the eighth grade at the Moran Country School.

Ervin was united in marriage to Helen Brockmann on Aug. 11, 1963, at St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, by Pastor J. Leige. The couple made there home on a farm northwest of Byron where he was born. This union was blessed with the birth of two daughters, Alice and Judy.

Ervin farmed until he retired.

He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church near Byron and served on the church council several times.

The couple moved to Deshler in 2002. They moved their membership to Peace Lutheran Church in 2010.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Lenore Lunzmann, and Irene Poppe.

He is survived by his wife, Helen of Deshler; daughters, Mrs. Jeff Anderson (Alice) of Hastings, and Judy Donner of Deshler; and grandchildren. His funeral was held Nov. 28, at Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler.
