Angela Margaret Juranek, 89, of Crook, Colo., died Dec. 5, 2020, in Sterling. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., today (Thursday), at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Julesburg with the Rev. Michael O’Brien as celebrant. Angela will be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery in Julesburg.

Angela was born April 1, 1931, in Lawrence, Neb., to Rudolph and Marie Josephine (Dolnicek) Faimon. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1949. She married Staniel Juranek, Jr. on Sept. 19, 1950, in San Diego, Calif. Angela was an Avon representative for more than 39 years and was a member of Avon’s president’s Club for 35 years. She was a longtime member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Altar and Rosary Society and St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Crook. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, embroidery, gardening and spoiling the grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Staniel Juranek, Jr.; brothers, Harold Faimon and wife, Lorain, Arnold Faimon and wife, Martha, Robert Faimon and wife, Maureen, and Charles Faimon; sisters, Rita Kohmetscher and husband, LaVern, Vivian Juranek and husband, Ray,Charlene Buescher and Margaret Faimon.

Angela is survived by her daughter, Gail Ann Stewart and husband, Michael; son, Michael Juranek; grandchildren, Matthew Stewart and Adam Stewart and wife, Emily; great-grandchildren, Aubree, Tinley and Atlee Stewart; brothers, Paul Faimon and wife, Wanda, and Patrick Faimon and wife, Cheryl; sisters, Bernadette Novotny, Marian Herbek, Maxine Rempe and husband, Elmer, Maureen Menke and husband, Adrian, Agnes Schroer and husband, Howard, and Theresa Kulek and husband, Thomas; and brother-in-law, Ronald Buescher.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be in Angela’s memory to St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 612 E. 3rd Ave., Crook, Colo. 80726.
