Donna Joyce Lammers, 78, of Red Cloud, the daughter of Roy and Evelyn

(Young) Honey-cutt, was born Oct. 12, 1942, at Superior, Neb. She died Monday, Nov. 30, 2020, at the Bryan East Medical Center in Lincoln, Neb.

Donna attended rural Highland country school in Nuckolls County for eight years and went on to Nelson High School graduating with the Class of 1960. After high school, Donna attended Joseph College of Beauty in Hastings. Donna was united in marriage to Bobbie E. Lammers on Sept. 29, 1961, at Thedford. This union was blessed with the birth of four children, a son and three daughters.

Donna was a proud and active Avon representative, working more than 36 1/2 years for them. In her early years, Donna also babysat for people. Donna enjoyed working at the Red Cloud Public Library serving as their librarian for 13 years.

When her children were young, she served as a Boy Scout den mother as well as a 4 H leader. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, sewing, embroidering and doing cross stitch. From all her time working at the library, Donna became an avid reader and looked forward to running the summer reading program for the area children.

Donna enjoyed living on the farm, until the fall of 2016 when she moved into Red Cloud.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobbie; daughters, Tracy Lynn and Kim Renee; brothers, Gary, Marvin and Curtis Honeycutt; and a son-in-law, Larry Hamel.

Survivors include her son, Troy Lammers and wife, Tracy, of Red Cloud; daughter, Tammy Woellhof and husband, Doug, of Marshfield, Mo.; grandchildren, David Hamel and wife, Chery; Amanda Stice and husband, Mike; Amber Franssen and husband, Stefan; Ryan Lammers and wife, Kelly; Halie Eck and husband, Logan; Karter Steinle; Wyatt Woellhof; great-grandchildren, Graham and Paige Hamel; Ryan, Reagan, Reece and Rory Stice; Sage and Evan Lammers; and Scarlett Eck; sister, Marlys McClure; brother, Mike Honeycutt; nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends.

A graveside service was held at 1:30 p.m., Dec. 4, at the Red Cloud Cemetery. The Rev. Bonnie McCord officiated. Condolences may be sent to the family at wmsfh.com. Williams Funeral Home of Red Cloud was in charge of the arrangements.
