Diana Kay Jacobe,74, of Deshler, the daughter of Elmer and Bernice (Young) Kolling was born Jan. 13, 1946, in Deshler. She died Jan. 1, 2021, at Parkview Haven Nursing Home in

Deshler.

Diana grew up in Deshler attending school and graduating from Deshler High School with the Class of 1964.

After graduation, Diana was a switch board operator at the Deshler Phone Company, and worked for Gord’s resturant and bar. Her main job for more than 32 years was working for Blue Valley Community Action Head Start where she was teacher aide and the cook. She enjoyed the children and always had a smile.

She married Robert Jacobe on Sept. 12, 1965, at Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler. This union was blessed with the birth of five children.

Diana moved to Omaha for a short time to be close to her daughter’s children, but then back to Deshler.

She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler helping where she was needed.

Diana liked playing cards and cooking, making something special for her family and the neighbors, but most of all she enjoyed time with her family especially the grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob; and brother, Jack Kolling.

She is survived by her sons, Bobby Jacobe of College Station, Texas; Mike

Jacobe, Lincoln, Neb., and Chris Jacobe, Deshler; daughters, Mrs. Mike (Elizabeth) Argo of Omaha, and Samatha Jacobe of Omaha; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Following Diana’s wishes, she was cremated. Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, at Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler. Book signing will be Friday at Kroll Funeral Home in Deshler from 1 to 5p.m. Officiant will be Pastor Joe Love, organist Julia Pohlmann, congregational hymns “Amazing Grace,” In the Garden” and “Old Rugged Cross.” Inurnment will be in the church cemetery. Kroll Funeral Home of Deshler is in charge of arrangements.
