Brodstone Memorial Hospital has a new chief financial officer (CFO), Cathy Wolff.

Wolff comes to Brodstone with nearly 34 years of financial experience in healthcare. She earned her bachelor's in business administration degree from the University of Colorado at Greeley and has taken classes toward her master's in healthcare administration.

Prior to joining Brodstone, Wolff worked 29 years at Yuma District Hospital in Yuma, Colo. There she was the vice president of financial services and CFO. She also worked as the CFO for the Northern Colorado Anesthesia Professionals. Her most recent work was as the controller at the Orthopedic & Spine Center of the Rockies in Fort Collins, Colo.

Wolff is a Fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and is the past president of the Colorado HFMA. Her chapter won the Robert M. Shelton Award during her presidency.

"We are excited to have Cathy join us here at Brodstone," said Treg Vyzourek, Brodstone Memorial Hospital CEO. "She brings with her a wealth of critical access hospital (CAH) financial experience. She will be a great addition to our team."

Wolff was born and raised in small-town Colorado. She is the mother to twins, Caitlyn and Chase. Her children both graduated from Colorado State University and currently live in Colorado.

Wolff moved to the Superior area with her dog, Rodeo. She enjoys golf, gardening, exercise and being outdoors. "After visiting Brodstone, I knew it felt like the right fit," said Wolff. "I wanted to get back to a small town and rural hospital. Having a connection with the patients and people you work with is so important. It is exciting to be a part of the future growth of this facility."

Wolff will work closely with Brodstone's current CFO, Sandy Borden, who plans to retire later this year. Borden has worked at Brodstone for nearly 45 years.

"We can't thank Sandy enough for the hard work and dedication she has given to Brodstone throughout the years," said Vyzourek. She has helped shape Brodstone into what it is today. She will be greatly missed, but we hope she enjoys her well-deserved retirement."
