Kaitlen Riley

On Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021, Kaitlen Elizabeth Riley, loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, died at age 19. Kaitlen was born on Aug. 22, 2001 to Troy Riley and Terry Riley.

Kaitlen graduated from Concordia High School in 2020, and was attending Baker University majoring in psychology with plans to become a therapist. Kaitlen had a passion for playing tennis, drawing, writing and hanging out with friends and family. She had a special love for animals and people in need, Kaitlen had a unique ability to see the good in people.

Kaitlen was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, George and Ann Kniep and Melvin and Adeline Rippe; grandfather, Richard Bergstrom; and uncle, Mike Fritz.

She survived by her mother, Terry Riley (Kent Morgan) of Concordia, Kan .; sister, Autumn (Gage) Cress of El Dorado, Kan .; father, Troy (Nancy) Riley of Perry; three siblings, Devonn Wilson-Riley of Perry, Gage (Brianna) Wilson of Clay Center, Kan., and Sicilia Wilson of Ireland; grandparents, George and Kathy Kniep of Ruskin, Neb. and Isse (Merlin) Lemons of Perry, Kan .; aunts: Tracy (Mark) Stauss of Grand Island, Tammy (Jo) Patterson of Hebron, Cheryl (Justin) Bergstrom of Perry; uncle, Troy Kniep of Ruskin; niece, Kloie Wilson of Clay Center, Kan .; and multiple cousins and friends.

There will be a fellowship and greeting friends at the Fellowship Christian Church in Concordia from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Feb. 4.

A private family graveside service will be held at Spring Creek Cemetery in Ruskin,at 1 p.m., Friday, Feb. 5. The family asks memorials go to the O'Connor Animal Shelter, Concordia, or the Kaitlen Riley Scholarship fund in care of the Kroll Funeral Home 330
