SHS wrestlers finish 7th at conference

The Superior High School wrestling team competed at the Southern Nebraska Conference Tournament Friday. The Wildcats finished in seventh place with 56 points. Other teams participating were Milford, David City, Fillmore Central, Thayer Central, Centennial, Wilber-Clatonia, Fairbury, Sutton and South Central Unified District 5.

Hayden Neeman took home first place in the 106 pound weight bracket. He earned 22 team points.

Brett Miller was in fourth place in the 113 pound class. He was awarded seven team points.

Aaron Allgood competed in the 138 pound weight bracket. He earned three team points.

Tyler Everhart earned three team points in the 145 pound weight bracket.

Jordan Brown garnered three points in the 182 pound weight class.

Michael McGowan competed in the 195 pound weight bracket. Payton Christiancy landed the second place points in the 285 pound weight bracket. He earned the Wildcats 18 team points.

Superior closes out its regular season schedule Friday with a meet at Adams Central High School in Hastings.

The road to the state tournament begins with sub-district D2-A matches at Pleasanton, Saturday. Matches begin at 11 a.m..
