Lady Raiders have short visit in Conference Tournament

"Short and Sweet" is a favorite expression a lot of people use for a lot of different reasons. It would not be a correct description to describe the Lady Raider's visit to the Twin Valley Conference Tournament for the 2020-2021 basketball season, however.
The 'short' portion would be correct, but the 'sweet' portion would be very wrong.
L-N was the number six seeded team and their first game of the tournament was against No. 3 seed, Blue Hill. That turned out very badly and then, they had a consolation game cancelled because of the weather conditions.
L-N suffered a 30-50 setback to a Blue Hill team that took advantage of several Raider defensive let- downs to earn the win. L-N kept close until the last several minutes of the 2nd period when Blue Hill went on a 6-0 scoring run to gain an 11 point half time advantage. The beginning of the 3rd and 4th periods also spelled the doom for the Raiders as Blue Hill made a total 8 of 11 shots total in those early minutes of the two periods.

As the basketball season marches on, the end is within sight. The girls play Harvard at home Tuesday of this week and travel to Superior on Friday. Next week, Feb. 15 and 16 are the dates set for the Sub-District tournament action.
Information about time, place and opponent for the sub-district has not been determine as of press time. However, the team in the sub-district are: Red Cloud, Franklin, Wilcox-Hildreth and the L-N Raiders.
