Roy Gene Lyons was born Jan. 11, 1941, to Wilta Darlene Lyons and Leroy Eugene Ginn in Superior. He was adopted, at the age of four by Marion Lyons and Eunice Lyons (his biological grandparents) on Aug. 31, 1945, and grew up in Nelson.

He married the love of his life, Marlis Ann Killough on Oct. 6, 1965, in Presho, S.D. They were blessed with three children: Martin, Pixie and Melissa.

For the majority of his life, Roy drove a semi truck. He later started his own autobody and mechanics shop in Montrose (Roy's Repair & Autobody). He definitely was a "jack of all trades." He taught his children,...
