The City of Superior has been the recipient of a grant from the State of Nebraska to build affordable houses. The city pays part of the building costs. These are recouped along with additional funds when the houses are sold. The first two houses, being constructed by Saathoff Construction on West Eighth Street, are on their way to completion. The "Project Boom" program will use the reclaimed funds to construct more houses as part of an effort to revitalize Superior's housing stock.
