Patricia (Pat) G. Hedden, 85, of Glendale, Ariz., died Feb. 16, 2021. She was born Aug. 18, 1935, in St. Joseph, Mo. Her family later settled in Mankato, Kan., where she graduated from Man- kato High School.

She then attended Kansas State University and received a degree in elementary education. There she married the love of her life, Wes. Her first assignment was teaching in a one room school with no running water.

She thought she got her ability to teach to all ages and abilities in this place. When her husband entered the Air Force, she moved with him to Spokane, Wash. She worked on the air...
