L-N golf team plays at Superior quad

 

The Lawrence-Nelson High School golf team opened their 2021 season with a quadrangular match at Superior Monday. Members of the golf team are (from left) Blake Wroughton, Clay Williams, Connor Janda, Krayton Kucera, Wyatt Hajny, Wyatt Brockman, Nathan Elledge and Jared Niederklein, coach. The Lawrence-Nelson High School golf team opened their 2021 season with a quadrangular match at Superior. The Raiders competed against teams from Superior, Red Cloud and Bruning-Davenport-Shickley at the Superior Country Club. Lawrence-Nelson finished in third place, behind Superior and Red Cloud, with a score of 240. The junior varsity team also played at the event.

Nathan Elledge, Lawrence-Nelson, putts at the second green at the Superior Country Club, Monday. Lawrence-Nelson opened their season at the quadrangular meet.

Krayton Kucera and Conner Janda recorded rounds of 56. Wyatt Brockman finished with a round of 58. Blake Wroughton posted a round of 70.

Wyatt Hajny carded a round of 63 for the junior varsity team. Clay williams scored a round of 71. Nate Elledge finished with a round of 81. The Raiders travel to Superior today (Thursday) for the Superior Invitational with a tee time of 10 a.m. The Raiders visit the Crooked Creek Country Club Tuesday for a match with Sutton and Sandy Creek.
