L-N track teams at Kenesaw Invite

 


The Lawrence-Nelson High School boys and girls track and field teams took part in the Kenesaw Invitational, at Kenesaw, last Tuesday. The nine teams competing at the event were Doniphan-Trumbull, Shelton, Axtell, Kenesaw, Blue Hill, Silver Lake, Franklin and Red Cloud.

The girls team finished in seventh place with 33.33 points. The boys team finished in eighth place with 12 points. The first six places in each event earn points.

The teams competed at the Franklin Invitational, Tuesday, with meet results unavailable at press time.

Trevor Biltoft, Rocky Miller and Erik Wheeland competed in the boys 100 meter dash but did not advance beyond the preliminary heats.

Tyson Kotinek, Jacob Swift and Devyn Zikmund took part in the 200 meter dash but did not advance to the final heat,

Nolan Ostdiek, Swift and Gabe Zikmund ran the 400 meter dash but failed to advance to the final heat.

Evan Jacobitz and N. Ostdiek competed in the 800 meter run.

Logan Menke took fifth place points in the 1600 meter run with his time of 5:16.49. Jacobitz and Ayden West also participated in this event. AJ Koehler and West ran the 3200 meter event.

Koehler participated in the 110 meter hurdles.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Erik Wheeland, G. Zikmund, Kotinek and D. Zikmund finished out of the points .

The 4 x 400 meter relay team of Menke, Cole Trout, Kotinek and G. Zikmund earned the fifth place points with their time of 4:06.34.

The 4 x 800 meter relay team of Menke, G. Zikmund, N. Ostdiek and C. Troudt held fourth place with their time of 10:02.

T. Biltoft finished in sixth place in the high jump with his jump of 5’2”.

The 4 x 100 meter weight relay team of Swift, Chad Holcomb, R. Miller and Keaton Mazour grabbed sixth place with their time of 57.98 seconds.

T. Biltoft, D. Zikmund and G. Zikmund took part in the long jump.

Kotinek was in fifth place in the triple jump with a combined distance of 36’.5”.

Holcomb, Keaton Mazour and R. Miller competed in the shot put.

Holcomb, Keaton Mazour and Wheeland participated in the discus throw.

Claire Himmelberg finished in sixth place in the girls 800 meter run with her time of 2:50.47. Aleah Heikkinen also took part in the 600 meter run.

Katelyn Mazour, Emily Miller and Emily Troudt took part in the 200 meter dash burtdid not advance to the final heat.

Heikkinen and Himmelberg competed in the 400 meter dash.

Alex Miller took part in the 1600 meter run.

Emma Epley picked up the fourth place points in the 100 meter hurdles with her time of 17:41 seconds.

Sydney Biltoft was in sixth place in the 100 meter hurdles. She also took sixth place in the high jump with a 4’2” jump.

Katelyn Mazour, McKenzie Ostdiek and Tori Miller ran the 100 meter preliminaries but failed to advance.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team earned the fourth place points with their time of 58.64 seconds.

The 4 x 400 meter relay team took fourth place with their time of 4:55.62.

S. Biltoft held sixth place in the high jump when she cleared 4’2”.

Emma Epley was in sixth place in the long jump with her leap of 14’.75”.

Kylie Beard took fourth place in the shot put with her toss of 31”3.5”.

Beard was in second place in the discus with her throw of 98’9”.
