L-N golf at Sandy Creek

The Lawrence-Nelson High School golf team competed at the nine-hole Sandy Creek quadrangular match at Crooked Creek Country Club in Clay Center last Tuesday.

The Raiders came in third with a team score of 210. The best four scores on the team comprise the team total. Fillmore Central and Sutton were the other schools taking part in the match.

Conner Janda led the Raiders with his round 47. Krayton Kucera carded a round of 48. Wyatt Brockman finished with a round of 53. Blake Wroughton shot a round of 55. Clay Williams closed out with a round of 57.

The junior varsity team was also in action. They finished in fourth place with a team total of 278.

Wyatt Hajny had the low Raider round with 57. Toby Kotinek was in with a round of 64. Nathan Elledge score a round of 73. Will Dougherty was in with 84 stroke. Corbin Karmazin had a round of 90.

The team visits Red Cloud today (Thursday) for the Red Cloud Invitational. Tee time is set for 9 am. The team takes part in the Sandy Creek Invitational at Clay Center’s Crooked Creek Country Club Tuesday with a 9:30 a.m. tee time.
