Lana Black

Former Fairfield, Deweese and Edgar resident, and most recently a Superior resident, Lana J. Black, was born Sept. 29, 1950, in Hastings. She died Friday, April 18, 2021, at the age of 70, at her home in Superior.

Lana was born to Harold and Dorthy Shaw and graduated with the first class from Sandy Creek in 1968. In 1970 she was united in marriage to Robert Black. To that union two children, Bobbi Jean Black and Ryan Black, were born.

Lana spent most of her time enjoying her children and grandchildren, but in later years worked at Ken & Al's, Pinnacle Bank and delivered meals on wheels.

Those who knew Lana, knew how she enjoyed planting flowers and Sundays watching her favorite sport, NASCAR.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorthy and Harold; mother and father-in-law, Robert and Lavon Black; and husband, Robert.

Lana is survived by her children, Bobbi Jean Black, Ryan (Rosalie) Black; sister, Linda Shaw; brother-in-law and wife, Dan (Stephany) Black, one brother; and grandchildren, Jordan Black, Tyler Black and Dawson Black; step-grandson, Jon Jackson; and his three children.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
