Rick Smith, 68, the son of Robert D. and Marquerite G. (Engel) Smith was born Nov. 16, 1952, at Hastings. He died Saturday April 3, at his home in Superior.

Rick had been associated with Mid Nebraska Individual Services of Superior for many years. While with Mid Nebrsaka, Rick found employment with Mid-States Development; Superior Good Samaritan Center; the Crest Theatre; the Presbyterian Church, The Department of Social Services and had done assembly work for Baldwin Manufacturing. Rick always had a smile and wave for everyone he would meet.

Among his survivors are his brothers, Ivan and Vern Smith, and an uncle, Bill Smith.

His funeral was held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 21, at the Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Superior. Pastor Jon Albrecht officiated. Inurnment was in the Downs Cemetery, at Downs, Kan.
