Will hold Day of Prayer breakfast in Superior May 6

A week from today, Thursday, May 6, Living Faith Fellowship Church in downtown Superior will host the local National Day of Prayer breakfast.
This is the 70th anniversary of the establishment of a National Day of Prayer.
Designated by Congress, the National Day of Prayer is observed each year on the first Thursday of May. It is a day when Americans are asked to “turn to God in prayer and Meditation.”
As a nation, presidents and government officials have called for national days of prayer intermittently since the Continental Congress issued a proclamation recommending “a day of public humiliation, fasting and prayer be observed” on July 20, 1775.
This year the Superior observance is scheduled to last from 7 to 8 a.m.
