Eugene Harold Bonerwas born Nov. 20,1943, to Harold and Verla (Gouldie) Boner in Red Cloud. Although a farming accident unexpectedly took his life on April 29, Gene was doing what he loved.

Gene resided in Line Precinct all of his life and attended Red Cloud public schools. He was united in marriage with Serena Hansen in September ,1963. They established their family farm southwest of Red Cloud. To this union were born two daughters, Martha and Marie.
