The Rock Hills High School golf team competed at the Lakeside Invitational match at the Downs Country Club last Tuesday. The course plays to par 70.

Rock Hills golf team competed in the Downs Invitational on Monday, May 4. The varsity placed fourth. Two members placed in the top 10 individually.  Cesar Ortiz took ninth and Ethan Kenworthy took eighth, both shooting an 85. Junior varsity members who competed were Daniel McDill and Jacob Underwood. Jacob Underwood took third place. It was a great effort by all who competed. Photo by Sheila Lorence.

The Grizzlies finished in fourth place at the 18-hole match, with 370 strokes, in the five team field. Other teams at the match were Lakeside, Riley County, Tipton and St. John's. The four lowest individual scores comprise the team score.

The Grizzlies played at the Riley County Invitational at Riley Friday. The Grizzlies finished in fifth place, with a team score of 406, in the five team field. Other schools at the match were lakeside, Riley County, St. John's and Cottonwood Falls. The match was played over 18-holes.

The team played the Tipton Invitational, Tuesday, with match results unavailable at press time.

At the Lakeside Invitational, Ethan Kenworthy and Cesar Ortiz tied for the low Rock Hills round at 85. Karrigan Dunstan carded a round of 99. Jacob Barry finished with a round of 101. Garrett Barry closed out with a round of 106.


Kenworthy was once again the low Rock Hills scorer at Riley County with his round of 94. Jacob Barry finished with a score of 101. Garrett Barry conpleted his round in 195 strokes. Karrigan Dunstan carded a round of 106. Cesar Ortiz was in with a round of 112.
