County Employees will receive 7% pay increase

The Nuckolls County Board of Commissioners met Monday at the county courthouse in Nelson for their regularly scheduled meeting. All three commissioners were present.

The board declared surplus a 1996 Dodge Ram pickup truck and a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe. The two vehicles will be offered at an upcoming auction at the road department.They will be sold as is where is.

The board approved a resolution to pay vendor claims bi-monthly to avoid late charges on some accounts.

The board approved and signed a resolution declaring their opposition to the proposed Kansas-Nebraska Heritage Area.

There was no business before the County Board of Equalization.

The final item of business on the agenda was the approval of a seven per cent pay increase for all non-elected county employees.

The board will meet for their next regularly scheduled meeting, Monday, June 7, at 8:30 a.m.
