Doris Hoelting

 

Doris J. Hoelting, 78, Lawrence, Neb., died Monday, May 10, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings. Rosary was Monday, at 7 p.m. and mass was 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 18, both at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Law- rence, with Father Ferdinand Boehme officiating. Assisting at the service were: Walt Buescher as acolyte; Jim Krebsbach as Lector; Dillon Laughlin and Kolten Menke were Altar Boys. The music was provided by Linda Ostdiek as organist and Adam Theer as song leader.

Active pallbearers were: Payton Hoelting, Mike Buescher, Chuck Hoelting, John Walker, Bill Hoelting and Scott Kohmetscher. Honorary pallbearers were: Tom Krebsbach, Joel Hoelting, Jace Hoelting and Jarett Hoelting.

Interment was in the Sacred Heart parish cemetery east of Lawrence.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Lawrence Ball Program or Lawrence Volunteer Fire Department. Private condolences may be sent to the family at http://www.mertenbutlermortuary. com. Merten-Butler Mortuary, Blue Hill, Nebraska was in charge of arrangements.

Doris was born on Dec. 2, 1942, in Nuckols County, Nebraska to Lawrence F. and Alvera K. (Theer) Krebsbach. Doris graduated from Lawrence High School in 1960. She was married on April 24, 1965, to Richard (Dick) A. Hoelting at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Lawrence, Neb. She had worked for KN Energy, Pax Ten, babysat and the Hastings Regional Center. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lawrence, Sacred Heart Altar Society, Lawrence Sewing Circle and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Doris is survived by two sons, Gerald (Monica) Hoelting, Omaha, and Wayne (Dina) Hoelting, Nelson; one daughter, Patsy (Craig) Wohlgemuth, Lincoln, Neb .; one brother, Don Krebsbach, Lawrence; two sisters, Winnie Walker, Hastings, and Mary Kay Donahoo, Grand Island; seven grandchildren, Payton Hoelting, Abigail, Sophie and Lily Wohlgemuth, Jace, Joel and Jarett Hoelting.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and infant son, Raymond Lee.
