Summer Movies a Possibility at UTE

The Ute Theatre doesn’t usually show movies during the summer months but COVID has changed a number of things including the theatre. This summer theater management hopes to be open at least one weekend in July and one in August. They already have a weekend planned in June.

Depending on the attendance of the June 25, 26 and 27 movie, the Ute board will decide on whether it is beneficial to do a movie in July and August as well.

The movie playing in June is “Spirit Untamed,” in which a young Lucky Prescott moves to a sleepy little town where she befriends a wild mustang named Spirit, who shares her rebellious spirit. When a heartless wrangler plans to capture Spirit and his herd, Lucky and her new friends embark on the adventure of a lifetime to rescue the horse that forever changed her life.

“Spirit Untamed” is rated PG for adventure action.

The theatre board believes attending a movie in the summer months is a good way to cool down and relax after doing all of the hot outdoor summer activities.
