The Nuckolls County Board of Commissioners met at the county courthouse in Nelson, Monday. All three commissioners were present.

The board worked its way through a light agenda. The highway department reported work to repair deficiencies in a paving project on the Edgar spur was completed.

The board was presented with the fee schedule for the traffic ticket diversion program, This program allows drivers who receive citations for certain moving violations to avoid points on their license by taking a remedial course either on-line or in person.

The board approved several special designated liquor licenses for events scheduled at Superior Estates Winery between July and September.

The board approved two estimates from D. R. Properties and Home Improvement, LLC. One project is for refinishing the county and defense attorney’s tables in the courtroom for $700. The other project is the repair of the south entrance courthouse steps and the sidewalk.

The board went into executive session twice for personnel reasons. They conducted the annual evaluations of the courthouse custodian and the county emergency manager and weed superintendent.

The board will meet Monday at 8:30 .a.m. at the county courthouse.
